Whether a site runs on a free tier alone or adds paid membership on top.
A pricing model is the way a site charges for its service. It is usually one of two shapes: a free tier only, or a free tier with paid membership options on top. A free-only site costs you nothing beyond the time and attention you spend there. For example, 3Fun lists free, and AfricanCupid lists free. Paid tiers normally add features rather than the basic right to message.
