What is Profile verification?

Profile verification describes how a site checks that a signup is genuine and that the person is an adult. Checks range from age declared at registration to a manual review of every account, and the strength of the check changes who you are really talking to. For example, 4Date uses Self-declared 18+ on registration, while 50plusmatch.be uses Manual check of all registrations. Stronger checks take more effort on the site operator's side.
