Pros and cons
AdultFriendFinder
Pros
- A free account covers browsing, a profile and limited messaging (Free account: browse, profile, limited messaging), so the site can be tried without paying.
- A single paid level keeps the price list short: Gold, with VIP and Highlight add-ons (One level: Gold, with VIP and Highlight add-ons).
- Privacy tools cover profile visibility settings, private photos and blocking (Profile visibility settings, private photos, blocking).
Cons
- No ID or criminal background screening, so a profile photo and description are the only signals on a listing.
- Auto-renew default; cancel in settings or via support, so an unused subscription keeps renewing until the setting is changed.
- Pay-per-use extras run on tokens or points (Tokens or points for pay-per-use features), so spending is not contained by the monthly level.
SwingTowns
Pros
- Registration is free and free membership is limited, as Free registration; limited free membership sets out.
- The audience in Swingers, open-minded couples and singles names swingers, open-minded couples and singles, so more than one group is served.
- The plan list in Free, monthly and lifetime includes a lifetime entry, so a single payment is available.
Cons
- The content licence in Content licence covers affiliate and partner sites extends to affiliate and partner sites, so profile material is licensed beyond the main service.
- Support runs on email, help centre and community only, so a phone line and live chat are not among the listed channels.
- The free tier described in Free registration; limited free membership stops at registration and limited membership.

Questions about each
AdultFriendFinder
How much does AdultFriendFinder cost?+
Paid access sits at a single level, Gold, with VIP and Highlight add-ons (One level: Gold, with VIP and Highlight add-ons). Features outside the subscription are bought individually with tokens or points (Tokens or points for pay-per-use features). For context, the median starting monthly price across compared sites is €14, so budget for the add-ons as well as the level itself.
What do you get without paying?+
A free account covers browsing, a profile and limited messaging (Free account: browse, profile, limited messaging). That is enough to read the audience and see how replies land before committing to a paid level. Broader messaging sits in Gold or its add-ons (One level: Gold, with VIP and Highlight add-ons), so the free tier is a working sample rather than a demo.
SwingTowns
What is free on SwingTowns?+
Registration is free and free membership is limited, as Free registration; limited free membership sets out. The plan list in Free, monthly and lifetime also shows a free option next to monthly and lifetime, so a new member can register, look around and only then decide on a paid tier.
Which plans does SwingTowns sell?+
The plan list in Free, monthly and lifetime covers free, monthly and lifetime access, with no annual tier in it. A monthly choice suits anyone wanting a shorter commitment, and the lifetime entry suits anyone paying once. Auto-renewal on monthly is set out in Auto-renews; purchases final, no refunds.
