Pros and cons
Pros
- Membership stands at Many hundreds of thousands of members, and the service has run since 2004.
- Nothing has to be spent for the basics: the model is free, and Free registration, profiles, messages, chat, forum sit outside the paid plans, where Senior.dk Dating needs a paid VIP to make contact.
- The feature set covers app and verified profiles, and profile verification is Free authenticity check (#SSC) with green tick.
- Fetish focus is 100% in the fetish-dating ranking, against 25.6% for LGBTQ-dating listings.
- Support is broad: email, chat and phone covers phone and a help centre as well as email, chat and a community area.
Cons
- Paid tiers are layered: Free, Premium, VIP, Dominatrix sit on top of free, so a reader who wants extras moves past the basics quickly.
- Billing is easy to leave running: Auto-renews; 14-day withdrawal; cancel to term end.
- Credits are not money back: Points system, no cash payout of credits.
- Data is processed outside the EEA with consent, Data processing incl. outside EEA with consent, which members outside Europe should weigh before uploading identifying material.
Who it suits
- Adults who want a BDSM and fetish community rather than general dating: Adults 18+; BDSM and fetish community.
- Readers who want the core of the site reachable without a paid tier, Free registration, profiles, messages, chat, forum.
- People who want an authenticity check on profiles as a normal part of the service, Free authenticity check (#SSC) with green tick.
Who should look elsewhere
- Anyone who expects contact to be the paid part: Senior.dk Dating requires a paid VIP to get in touch, and here messages sit in Free registration, profiles, messages, chat, forum.
- Readers who only want discussion threads: BDSM-baari keeps Forum use is free of charge, which suits a forum user rather than a profile browser.
- Anyone who wants to test a single approach elsewhere first: EroFantasie offers Registration free, first message free, so one opening line costs nothing over there.
Members and plans
Fetisch.de lists Many hundreds of thousands of members, and the audience focus is Adults 18+; BDSM and fetish community. The plan list is Free, Premium, VIP, Dominatrix, with free as the model, and the extras run on a different footing: Points system, no cash payout of credits. Two things matter here for a reader weighing cost. Membership depth, because a niche audience is easy to underserve, and a visible plan ladder, because the paid options are stacked on top of the base offer rather than replacing it.
How it works
Everything on the site is arranged around Adults 18+; BDSM and fetish community. Profiles are the unit people browse, and with Many hundreds of thousands of members on the books there is a lot to browse, so the niche filter does the narrowing. A member who knows the scene or the orientation they want sets that first and reads profiles inside it. That structure is the practical difference from a mainstream dating service, where the same person is filtered by age, distance and lifestyle instead, and where the pool is mixed rather than chosen.
Who runs it
The operator is Ideawise Limited, with its headquarters in Hong Kong. The service has been running since 2004, which is a long tenure for a niche community that depends on members trusting who is behind the service. Support runs through email, chat and phone, a wider spread than a help centre alone, and worth weighing for anyone who wants a direct route on an account or billing question.

Frequently asked questions
How much does Fetisch.de cost, and what is included at no charge?+
The pricing model is free, and the plan list is Free, Premium, VIP, Dominatrix. The core of the site, Free registration, profiles, messages, chat, forum, is available without a paid tier, so nothing has to be spent to have a profile, browse or write a message. Paid options add extras on top of that base rather than unlocking basic contact.
How does billing work, and can I get a refund?+
Terms are Auto-renews; 14-day withdrawal; cancel to term end. That means a paid plan renews on its own, there is a withdrawal period after signing up, and a cancellation takes effect at the end of the term rather than immediately. Readers who want to stop should decide before a renewal rather than after one.
Does Fetisch.de check that profiles are genuine?+
Profile verification is listed among the features, app and verified profiles, and the check itself is Free authenticity check (#SSC) with green tick. A member can therefore run an authenticity check, and the result is marked with a green tick on the profile. That helps separate real accounts from empty ones in a niche where some anonymity is normal.
Who is Fetisch.de aimed at?+
The audience focus is Adults 18+; BDSM and fetish community, and membership stands at Many hundreds of thousands of members. The service is built for people already interested in BDSM and fetish relationships and adjacent scenes, and it expects that interest to be stated on a profile. Casual dating appears among the niches, fetish, casual and swinger, but the centre of gravity stays with the fetish community.
How is personal data handled?+
The privacy position is Data processing incl. outside EEA with consent. Data is processed with consent, and processing can take place outside the EEA, so members outside Europe should read that clause before uploading anything identifying. Account and privacy questions can be raised through email, chat and phone, which is the published route to the operator.
What happens to credits that are never spent?+
Credits are handled on a points basis, and Points system, no cash payout of credits. There is no cash payout of the balance, so a reader who buys credits and then loses interest is left with points rather than money. Staying inside what the plans require, Free, Premium, VIP, Dominatrix, keeps that exposure small.
Who runs Fetisch.de, and how long has it been going?+
The operator is Ideawise Limited, with its headquarters in Hong Kong, and the service has been running since 2004. A long-running operator in a niche community is a reasonable signal of continuity, and the published support channels, email, chat and phone, give a route to a person when an account or billing question comes up.
